Day 15: Rest up!

Did we need a day a rest? Well lets see… 200 miles in 2 days. I’ll take a day of rest! It was more of a rest for the body today than the mind. Videos had to be uploaded, watched, sorted, put into a video, social media updated, and emails needed to be read and gone out.

It wasn’t too bad though. There was a grocery store nearby where we found some cheese and crackers, vino, and some more Alaskan’s (for me). Haha. Why not? A good cheers for a couple days of riding. Well deserved.

The motel we stayed in was nice and warm, almost too warm, but I suppose better than being cold. And in front of the motel was Fast Eddies. It was a restaurant, the only restaurant, in Tok. So of course for dinner we had to check it out. So a few steps outside our hotel room found us right into the restaurant.

Fast Eddie’s Restaurant

People came into the restaurant very steady. Some you could tell were locals, and then others were obvious tourists just passing through the town where they could find a warm meal after driving for hours. The menu was perfect. We ordered enough for our bellies in the moment and had leftovers for our ride tomorrow. I mean I don’t know how smart Baby Back Ribs were to take on a bike ride, but it was so delicious and it was protein, so I couldn’t help myself! And William had his left over pizza.

So a pretty simple day. Ate, drank, did some work, and off we go to bed to get some more rest to hopefully push out some more miles tomorrow to get us to or at least closer to the Canadian border. Canada here we come.
